Casting The Net

Casting The Net; Table talk is a podcasting program between thirty minutes to an hour. We will discuss Biblical content, theological questions pertaining to the Christian life, apologetics, culture news, and current events all from a Biblical worldview. We will also interview prominent individuals on certain occasions and engage his or her thoughts regarding certain topics periodically.  The host Josh Yonts and co-host, Micky Emerson will always seek to have lively content on each episode.  Our desired outcome is that our video content will be shared, liked, reviewed, etc. and that Casting The Net, will be a good kingdom investment of our time and funds.

Let's Summarize Ministry

The Bible is often referred to as a book of “stories,” stories that speak of moral precepts and platitudes but not a book to be taken seriously with respect to history. In addition, the Bible is often viewed as unreliable by people who do not study the Bible. However, the Biblically uniformed are unaware of the archeological discoveries that confirms the historical accuracy of the Bible. Let’s Summarize, is a podcast ministry of the First Christian Church of Pinckneyville. Join the host Micky Emmerson each week for historical, accurate, dynamic, and relevant truths you can trust from God’s word.

Children’s Ministry

At FCCOP we value the spiritual welfare of children. That is why it is our perspective that all children are encouraged in heart and taught biblically. All the little lambs at FCCOP will be accepted no matter what economic background they are from. That is why we provide a children’s ministry team that is equipped to engage this precious ministry with excellence.

Youth Ministry

There is no doubt about it that teens today are faced with overwhelming struggles such as temptations and conflicting world-views. That is why at FCCOP we understand that teens have intelligent questions that often go unanswered. Such questions like the origin of the universe, the meaning of life, God’s existence, the meaning of life, and the problem of evil. Our ministry teams are prepared to equip and prepare the teens. All teens will be accepted no matter what socio-economic background they are from.

Women’s Ministry

Here at FCCOP It is our goal of our Women’s Ministry to encourage, equip, and engage women in our congregation so that they may grow in their walk with the Lord and be able to counter the views of our culture.  This includes areas of women to women relationships, raising children, strengthening marriages, and assisting with emotional maturity. Our women’s ministry has become very thoughtful and helpful reaching into the community to be the hands and feet of Christ.

Men’s Ministry

At FCCOP we desire to encourage godly men to be humble and holy before the Lord. Our Men’s fellowship is a time to equip each man to engage the culture and be the leader that God has called him to be. Living out the true masculine nature as God has created men helps us grow closer to Him as well as each other.

Biblical Studies Ministry

At FCCOP we desire to make available many different areas for God’s people to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. One of the ways we do this is through our Wednesday Night Biblical Studies. We currently are making our way through 1st Samuel. Come and be equipped and participate in up-lifting fellowship and rich decision as we learn God’s Word verse by verse line by line. Our desired outcome is so we may be complete in Christ learning the full counsel of his word (Acts 20:27).

Monthly Prayer Breakfast

Anyone is welcome to attend our monthly prayer breakfast. We meet in the fellowship hall bi monthly at 8:30 am. After a warm hearty country breakfast we all pray together and left up our hearts and minds to God. This is a powerful time for corporate urgent prayers. Many different prayers are made during this time. We always remember to pray for the lost outside of Christ and praying that God Almighty would give us a deeper unity and love for Him.

Barnabas Home Studies

Our Barnabus home studies are a precious time of sweet fellowship and hospitality. We want to make that available for those who desire to be apart of that. The first Tuesday of each month our encouragement group Barnabus comes with high expectation. The expectation of Christ centered fellowship. The Barnabus group will share a meal together and whoever is hosting the group will be in charge of delivering the study. Fellowship should be the defining mark of the people of God. This is a great testimony to those outside of Christ to see as well. Our church fellowship is deeply rooted in the love of God and in our common salvation Christ Jesus.

E-TEAM

The dispatch orders have been given by way of a Biblical mandate to engage the lost. That begins at the very top with the head of the Church, the Lord Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:18-20). Christ has exhaustive authority and he commands his apostles, and everyone who would follow after them to “go”. That is a direct order from the right hand of Majesty on high. Therefore, the First Christian Church Evangelism Team is the dispatching saints. The E-Team are fishers of men! We summarize this ministry into two sections: Provision ministry and Preaching ministry. We are dispatched into the community to serve smoked BBQ and high grade meats along w/ the preaching of God’s inerrant Word of God. The E-Team is out on a mission not only just meeting human needs but preaching God’s gospel which saves sinners.

The Shepherds Staff: Pastoral Care

Pastoral Care: When we look at the ministry of our Lord Jesus Christ, people were at the hub of the wheel. Jesus Christ ultimately came to seek and save the lost, but He was always meeting or providing for human needs. The leadership here at FCCOP believes in providing Christ honoring pastoral care and encouragement as much as possible. Pastoral care is short is seeking to meet physical, psychological, and emotional needs. This is an important part of out ministry philosophy at FCCOP.
