PRAISEWithin the assembly of FCCOP one will hear Hymn's. We believe the hymn's are one of God's gifts to the Church. One of the reasons we enjoy the hymn's is because they are drawn from Scripture and are written with theological reflection. It seems today that worship has become a conflicting area rather than a source of unity. We are steeped in a culture of pop music that makes other genres rather strange and unhelpful. Our congregational singing is meant to encourage and equip the saints of God for greater and fuller worship. |
PREACHINGAt FCCOP our preacher's steadfast conviction is to faithfully exposit Scripture. That is why our preacher does not look to trendy gimmicks, manipulative methods, or shallow entertainment, but one will hear the proclamation of Biblical truth. It is only through expository preaching that the people will hear the full counsel of God. This preaching was molded by Ezra the scribe who presented the word, explained the word, and applied the word.

THE LORD'S SUPPERThe early Church never gathered to celebrate Jesus resurrection without observing the memorial of His substitutionary death (1 Cor. 11:20, Acts 2:42; 20:7). This was always done on the first day of the week (Sunday/The Lord's Day, Rev. 1:10). The gathering of the saints is essential along with the Supper that Jesus instituted starting from the early church throughout early Church history. This has always been observed as a holy time for Christians. The Lord's Supper commemorates Jesus death for our salvation. |
